In the 2015 edition of the Oswego Country Club Men’s Club Championship, Mike Palmitesso Jr. ran away from the field for his first Club Championship. After the first day of the event, Palmitesso 69 (-2) held a 4 stroke lead over Don Coniski 73 (+2) with Pete Lloyd and Alec Kunzwiler each garnering 76’s (+5). Mike Palmitesso used a surgical short game as well as a deft putting stroke to have a round of 1 bogie, 1 birdie, 1 eagle and 15 pars to craft his sub-par round.
On Day 2 of the tournament, no one in the field really made a move on Palmitesso as he shot 37-36-73 (+2) to win going away with an even par 142 at the venerable Oswego course. Don Coniski tied for second with Joe Babcock at 151 followed by Chris Carpenter at 152 with defending Junior Club Champion Sean Dain tying with recent OHS graduate Alec Kunzwiler at 155. Close behind were Zack Farden and Nick DellaPenna at 156 and Eric Morris shooting 157. Palmitesso also shot a net 136 to outdo Mark Mayo with a net 140.
