It’s never too early to start planning for your 2012 Golf Event. Requests are now being accepted for events at Oswego Country Club in 2012. OCC has hosted numerous member events as well as non-member events throughout the years and 2012 will be no different. Exciting events are now being planned, so don’t miss out on your chance to hold your event at one of the finest golf courses in Central New York.
At the November 20 Annual Meeting, the Oswego Country Club membership elected their 2012 Board of Directors. The membership elected three new board members, congratulations to: Dan Jordan, Deana Masuicca and Don Molinari. Gail Greenwood was also relected to a full term on the board. Jack Conners was re-elected as board president; Nick DellaPenna will serve as First Vice President; Todd Donahue is Second Vice President; Joe Doviak returns as Treasurer; and, Larry Heintz is the new board Recording Secretary. A new slate of Board members will be elected at the Annual Membership Meeting on November 20 at Oswego Country Club. Candidates for the 2012 Board of Directors thus far include: Gail Greenwood, Dan Jordan, Deanna Masuicca, Don Molinari and Al Moreau. If anyone else is interested in running for the Board, please contact any Nominating Committee member (Paul Kunzwiler (Chr), Bill Cahill, Jim Patka, Jim Santoro). Nominations will also be accepted from the floor during the Annual Meeting. Per the OCC Constitution, nominees from the floor must either be present at the meeting or submit a written notice of willingness to accept a nomination to the President, Recording Secretary or Nominating Committee chair in advance of the Annual Meeting.
The 2011 Annual Membership Meeting will be held at Oswego Country Club on Sunday, November 20 starting at 3 PM. Please make every effort to attend. An election will be held to fill vacancies on the OCC Board of Directors, as well as consideration of a refinancing proposal. In addition, the Board will be electing the slate of Officers for 2012.
The 2011 Stableford event at Oswego Country Club provided plenty of fun and excitement on Saturday, October 15. Joe Babcock and Tom Roman won the Championship Flight with a 2-man best ball score of 24 in the modified Stableford point format. The First Flight Championship was shared by the team of Ray Chance and Tom Van Schaack and the team of Alan Rainbow and Steve Buffum, with a score of 18.
